This racetrack sculpture depicts the layout of Okayama International Circuit (formerly named as TI Circuit Aida), is a 3.7 km private motorsport racetrack located in Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Alongside hosting race events, the circuit also offers go karting and bikes.
The course was opened in 1990 as a private racetrack for affluent community. Soon after its inception, it hosted its first race, staged by veteran British drivers. In later years it hosted the Formula One Pacific Grand Prix; both events were won by Michael Schumacher in his early title-winning years. This race made Japan one of only seven countries to ever host more than one Formula One event in the same year. TI Circuit hosted a round of the Formula V6 Asia and FIA World Touring Car Championship 2008.
