This sculpture depicts the layout of Kinnekulle Ring racetrack which is located on Kinnekulle in Götene municipality, Sweden. The track was completed in 1969 and is 2 km in length. Well-known as a venue for national, club racing and driver training programs. The track is another example of military-base-tuned-into-circuit. It is relatively a short track and features a section which passes under a bridge, runs around a loop and then passes back under the same bridge, resembling to a bottle-neck configuration. The year 1973 saw the circuit’s first, one and only international event, European Formula 2 championship. Now also runs Stockholm Sports Car Club.
